Special Meeting
April 14, 2010
The Martin Village Council met for a special meeting on April 14, 2010, at the 
Martin Village Office, 1586 South Main Street, Martin, Michigan. Proper notice 
was posted.
The purpose of the meeting was to review and reconsider action on the purchase of real 
estate.
President Harness called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance to the 
American flag was recited. All members were present: Harness, Seiser, Martin, Brinkhuis, 
Flower, Rambadt and Acting Clerk Merrill.
President Harness stated that he had talked to Attorney Ed Annen about the vote needed 
regarding the purchase of the property at 1609 North Main Street. Five votes of approval 
are required by the village charter for real estate purchases. The special meeting was 
called to reconsider the action taken at the April 12 regular meeting.
Motion was made by Member Flower and seconded by Member Martin to reconsider the 
motion at the April 12 meeting and that the village purchase the property at 1609 North 
Main Street for $60,000.
Roll call vote: Yes - Seiser, Martin, Brinkhuis, Flower, Rambadt.
 No - None.
Motion carried.
It was agreed that all renovations, etc. be left in the hands of the Planning Committee with 
recommendations to be made to the council for approval.
Motion was made by Member Flower and seconded by Member Martin to adjourn the 
special meeting at 6:10 p.m.
